Ronald Acuña Jr. led the way with three hits and three RBIs, while Ozzie Albies added two hits and two RBIs.
Spencer Strider struck out 13 for Atlanta and took a no-hitter into the eighth inning, after bringing a perfecto into the seventh. This was the most lopsided game of the season for the Marlins.
The Braves got on the board in the first inning when Acuña Jr. doubled and scored on a single by Albies. They added another run in the second inning on a single by Austin Riley and an RBI double by Marcell Ozuna. The Braves broke the game open with a four-run third inning. Acuña Jr. led off with a double and scored on a single by Albies. After a walk to Riley, Ozuna hit a two-run double. Dansby Swanson then hit a two-run single to make it 7-0.
The Braves added another run in the fourth inning on a single by William Contreras and an RBI double by Eddie Rosario. They capped off the scoring with a two-run fifth inning on a single by Riley and an RBI double by Ozuna.
The Marlins starter, Edward Cabrera (1-2), allowed seven runs on 11 hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings. He struck out four.
The Braves improved to 15-8 on the season, while the Marlins fell to 12-11.
